About Arti
Arti Ristorante was born about six years ago, the dream of three brothers—Giuliano, Franco, and Vince—who had a passion for food and hospitality but very little experience in the industry. Like many first-time restaurateurs, we thought we had it all figured out. We were wrong.
Our very first service (a family and friends night) was, to put it lightly, one of the worst days of our lives. It was chaos. We got humbled, fast. But in the months that followed, we found our groove. Word started to spread, tables started filling up, and it felt like we were finally on our run.
Then, COVID hit.
Just a few months after opening, the world shut down. We didn’t know what this “thing” was, so we closed for a week to figure it out. Then we pivoted, fast. With no staff, just the three of us, we turned Arti into a takeout-only operation. Giuliano was on phones, Franco and Vince held down the kitchen. It wasn’t glamorous, but it was real.
Somehow, we found ways to stay positive. We brought in a ping pong table, hooked up an Xbox, and worked our way through leftover beer we couldn’t sell. And then, something incredible happened.
We launched The Arti Burger.
It sold 150 in one day. That burger kept us alive and it taught us something important. People in Vaughan were craving something more than traditional Italian food. They wanted creativity. They wanted something different.
So we leaned in. We started building our style: incredible Italian dishes (like Nonna would make) alongside bold flavors inspired by cuisines from around the world—Caribbean, Korean, Vietnamese, and beyond. We fell in love with the idea that global food could be accessible, exciting, and made with heart.
Today, six years in, Arti isn’t just a restaurant. It’s a warm, welcoming space with a deep respect for quality ingredients, local producers, and the power of good food to bring people together. When you walk through our doors, we want you to feel like you're at home (or at Nonna’s).
At Arti, we're not just serving guests. We're building community, one plate at a time.
